A film I made with young people from The Bridge Alternative Provision at Bridgend. The pupils did a great job!!, they were given materials to be creative and free and they had a chance to go off curriculum and express themselves through an immersive experience. What comes through with this film is the friendship and care of the pupils, who are often struggling through difficulties. It was a ple...

a lot of changes with work like yours. I know some low caste children are doing very well at some schools and beating the middle class kids - now they do have a chance to change their social structure. Yet sadly India now faces a more sinister threat

interesting but is not the same in the uk - i spent time in a village in Bihar a very backward state My relatives had low class workers/servants one was a Dalit she was not treated disrespectfully in anyway as far as i could see. Im sure her may was pittance I will find out more in the future. But it always perplexed me when over 40 years ago when i was in India that in the UK they had sights at the word servants but I could see no difference in the UK. And now the division is getting wider. Not a criticism On the contrary it will make me find out more. A friend of yours AnaKissed mentioned your film to me. Great work

It was my thirtieth year to heaven Woke to my hearing from harbour and neighbour wood And the mussel pooled and the heron Priested shore The morning beckon With water praying and call of seagull and rook And the knock of sailing boats on the webbed wall Myself to set foot That second In the still sleeping town and set forth. My birthday began with the water- Birds and the birds of the winged trees flying my name Above the farms and the white horses And I rose In a rainy autumn And walked abroad in shower of all my days High tide and the heron dived when I took the road Over the border And the gates Of the town closed as the town awoke. A springful of larks in a rolling Cloud and the roadside bushes brimming with whistling Blackbirds and the sun of October Summery On the hill's shoulder, Here were fond climates and sweet singers suddenly Come in the morning where I wandered and listened To the rain wringing Wind blow cold In the wood faraway under me. Pale rain over the dwindling harbour And over the sea wet church the size of a snail With its horns through mist and the castle Brown as owls But all the gardens Of spring and summer were blooming in the tall tales Beyond the border and under the lark full cloud. There could I marvel My birthday Away but the weather turned around. It turned away from the blithe country And down the other air and the blue altered sky Streamed again a wonder of summer With apples Pears and red currants And I saw in the turning so clearly a child's Forgotten mornings when he walked with his mother Through the parables Of sunlight And the legends of the green chapels And the twice told fields of infancy That his tears burned my cheeks and his heart moved in mine. These were the woods the river and the sea Where a boy In the listening Summertime of the dead whispered the truth of his joy To the trees and the stones and the fish in the tide. And the mystery Sang alive Still in the water and singing birds. And there could I marvel my birthday Away but the weather turned around. And the true Joy of the long dead child sang burning In the sun. It was my thirtieth Year to heaven stood there then in the summer noon Though the town below lay leaved with October blood. O may my heart's truth Still be sung On this high hill in a year's turning.

I was shocked when u said mohandas karamchand Gandhi fought for Dalits- it is laughable. He supported the varna system the origin of caste discrimination. He said a son should do the job of his father (a sweepers son should be sweeper- should not become a doctor or anything else). He was an Orthodox Hindu -for him freedom struggle was reviving Hinduism. These people changed religion yet still face caste based discrimination, how would calling them Harijan change their state. You say he made aware the world of their sufferings - irony is he had no idea about Dalits or cruelty against them(he was a supporter of caste). He choose to be ignorant of the caste discrimination and state of Dalits and other lower castes. You say he never achieved in ending caste - the thing is he never fought to end caste. Gandhi was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Dr. BR Ambedkar fought hard to bring equality in this country. He worked for liberation of Dalit community. He is the only hero of this country. Dr. BR Ambedkar has exposed the falsity of Gandhi, he fought Gandhi intellectually trying to put some sense into Gandhi, but of no use as Gandhi choose to be ignorant.

In The ancient city of Rome the slaves were prohibited to wear the garment denoting their status. Why? The ruling class were afraid they would realized there were more slaves than free people and they would create unrest. You broken people should realize your strength and start making changes yourselves. There are enough smart people in your midst now to create an international awareness mood at the United Nations level.

I hate prejudices, discrimination, and racism against any ethnicities. We are all God's children; who is wonderful and fearfully made. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder who is God. What they deem to be untouchable. God glories in their rejection with love and compassion.
